American rapper and hip-hop artist "Chali 2na" will accompany "Breakestra", a funk orchestra from Los Angeles during weekend parties of the 17th International Jazz Festival. Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV), which organized the festival, said that the concert would take place at the Salon on July 9 and 10. The Breakestra will put the groove in the night with their repertoire bearing a sound from the late 60s and early 70s. Having released numerous EPs and two full-length albums until now, Breakestra inimitably brought funk, soul and hip-hop together once again in their latest album "Dusk Till Dawn". American rapper and hip-hop artist Chali 2na accompanies Breakestra throughout their 2010 summer tour. Meanwhile, the festival will feature Imogen Heap under the part of "New Folks". British singer-songwriter Imogen Heap will give a concert at Istanbul Museum of modern Art on July 10. With her unique style combining folk and electronic, Imogen Heap is better known with her sizzling vocals in "Blanket" by Urban Species, as well as her songs "Headlock," "Hide and Seek," and "Come Here Boy", and her band Frou Frou. Imogen Heap won a Grammy in 2010 with her latest album "Ellipse". CUMHURİYET
