FENERBAHCE TAKES NO PITY ON SIVAS: 3-0
Fenerbahçe with its star players have shown that they have covered a long distance on the way to becoming a team in contrary to last year that is. Indeed, yellow canaries have proven to be far too strong for Sivas with the three goals in the central Anatolian team's net.

Fenerbahçe Takes No Pity On Sivas: 3-1 .. Last year’s surprise Sivasspor could not produce a good start to the new season. The central Anatolian team had a 2-1 home loss against Trabzonspor last week and Fenerbahçe did not take pity either, in the game at Saraçoğlu Stadium on Sunday (August 16th).
Fenerbahçe with its star players have shown that they have covered a long distance on the way to becoming a team – in contrary to last year . Indeed, yellow canaries have proven to be far too strong for Sivas with three goals in the net of central Anatolian team.
Fenerbahçe dominated the whole game with Gökhan GÖNÜL and Emre BELEZOGLU - both national team players - displaying a brilliant performance and skillful Andre Dos SANTOS – right wing defender for Brazilian National Team as well – scored a magical goal (min. 91) to bring back to memories all-time famous Maradona and Messi goals, after dribbling 4 rival defenders and rocketing the ball into Sivas net
First two goals were scored by Colin KAZIM (min. 70) and Emre (min.81 - from corner kick for a change). Spectators could see Fenerbahçe as opposed to previous years gained great tempo and it was easy to tell Trainer Roland KOCH keept his players busy in training sessions.
As it looks Turkish football fans are going to enjoy a very high tempo and exciting football this season with the return of the Yellow Canaries and The Lion - both displayed a very poor performance last year.

On the other hand Galatasaray were on home ground for the league game, hosting Denizlispor on Saturday night.
Frank Rijkaard’s students, with the confidence of last weekend’s 3-2 victory over Gaziantepspor, beat Denizlispor 4-1 after a comfortable performance.
Galatasaray fans were anxious to welcome the ex-Manchester City Brazilian midfielder Elano Blumer for the first time. However Rijkaard preferred to play with substitutes (or second team) who proved not to fail him with the 4 goals in Denizli net. Arda, Kewell and Keita were among the goal scorers for Galatasaray.
Galatasaray with new players who have joined this year - as well as Trainer Rijkard in the first place - most certainly seems to be the greatest nominee for cup holder at season end. However, experts say they are yet to be seen playing against a well organized side like Fenerbahçe or Beşiktas.
