TR-EU ELECTRICITY INTEGRATION
With the 35-year-long work of improvment work behind, Turkey is now ready to join the European electricity transmission system. Thanks to the reduced amplitude of variation in voltage in its electricity networks, Turkey will have its first tie to the European network in the first quarter of 2010, with a full integration planned in 2011. This means, to the average Turkish householder that his electric appliances are now less likely to experience failures due to variations in the voltage. European joint electricity network has 450 million users. Economists note the impex side of the integration, sayin that importing and exporting energy to and from Europe will be much easier. /TRT.WORLD
