44,000 Turkish tourists visited Egypt in 2006, 50,000 in 2007 and 52,000 in 2008! This popular tourist destination hopes to continue enticing visitors to see what wanders it has to offer! Turkey is an important market with great potential in tourism, and with Egypt establishing a consulate tourist Office in Istanbul 3 years ago Egypt hopes to further reinforce the relationships between the two countries. Egypt is partnered with EMITT 2010 to show tourists that whatever they want, they can find it in Egypt.
Nehad Gamal Eldin, Representative of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism, comments, "We have always taken part in EMITT Fair every year since it started. This year we will participate with cooperation from several ministry representatives and 15 tourism agencies from Egypt. Providing us with opportunities to cooperate with countries and firms from around the world, EMITT 2010 will definitely prove to be an important platform for us."
